Karat delivered 10 puppies on 31st January 2020 between 3 PM and 9 PM with no intervention needed. Described as a “business like” and efficient whelping.

The Dam — Ch Aytee Katerina (“Karat”)

Born 8.8.16. Hip Score: 5-4. BVA Eye tested clear. A superb game finder, swimmer and pointer with a soft mouth, displaying field excellence and a fabulous kind temperament. Won a Novice Field Trial on 4th entry. Third Championship Certificate achieved the week after her 3rd birthday.

The Sire — Graygees Gigolo (“Bodi”)

Born 13.9.17. Hip Score: 5-4. Eyes: Unaffected/clear. Heart: 0/6 clear. Junior Warrant (JW), Best of Breed (BOB), Group winner, Championship Certificates, Show Gundog Working Certificate, successful early field trial entries. A wide running, stylish dog, calm and quiet in his work, very biddable with a good mouth. Regular picker-up at shoots; family dog temperament.

Timeline

3rd January 2020: Pregnancy scan confirmed; average-to-good size litter expected.

31st January 2020: Karat delivered 10 puppies between 3 PM and 9 PM with no intervention needed.

2nd February 2020: Tails scheduled for docking.

10th February 2020: Karat receiving 3 daily feeds with puppy food and supplemental milk to sustain feeding 10 puppies.

7–8th March 2020: Sire Bodi visited with owner Gina Brown; both parents hunted and pointed birds together.

28–29th March 2020: Puppies scheduled for new homes.

Puppy Requirements

• Tails docked; dew claws removed; microchipped (not injected)
• Priority given to loving working homes
• Applicants must demonstrate experience of training HPR’s and plan to train your puppy for a job
